Family Fun at Jax River City Pride Festival: What to Expect at the Kid Zone!

Fall has always been my absolute favorite time of year. While the weather in Northeast Florida may not shift as dramatically as in other places, the season still brings change in meaningful ways  —  new school routines, cozy coffee drinks, fun holidays, and of course, the Jax River City Pride Festival and Parade!

Being able to celebrate Pride with my kids is something that fills my heart with joy. Sharing the values of diversity, love, and inclusivity with my children has become a true passion, and it's this passion that fuels the JaxRCPride Kid Zone. It’s more than just fun activities; it’s about creating safe, joyful, and visible spaces for families like mine and yours!

We’re thrilled to be planning the 2025 Jax RC Pride Kid Zone, and we’ve got some exciting things in store! Think story time, dance parties, bubbles galore, and more. We’re working hard to make this area a space where families of all kinds can celebrate Pride together in a way that’s fun, safe, and affirming.

While we’re proud of the family-friendly fun we’re planning for the festival, we’d love to hear from you! What would you and your little ones love to see in the Kid Zone? Do you have favorite activities or ideas to share? Let us know, we’re listening!

And hey, just because the festival ends doesn’t mean the fun has to. We’re also thinking ahead to year-round LGBTQ+ family events, and we want your input. What kind of inclusive, family-centered gatherings would you love to attend throughout the year?
